Gordon is a seasoned, senior technology, business and finance executive with broad experience including over 25 years in the food, food processing and packaging, nutraceutical, bio-biotechnology related and industrial technology industries. Over his career he has served in top management positions ranging from Transitional CEO, COO, VP R&D, Director - New Business Development, Manager of Technology and Development for companies such as Paramount Agribusiness/Sunkist, Kaprielian Companies/Sunsweet, Pacific Asia Technologies, Citrus Processors, Beta-cosmeceuticals, Kraft Foods, General Mills, Pinnacle Armor and The Strongin Group. In 1995 Gordon co-founded a US based consultancy, BreakThrough Technologies, primarily focusing on the nutrition & health industries, and Gordon currently serves as its President and Managing Director.

He has numerous successful examples of project management, new business development, technology transfer, IP and investor due diligence, financial portfolio analysis and technology commercialization to his credit. He has worked for and consulted to firms in Japan, Europe and the Americas, has experience with multinational technical and cultural interfaces within organizations, and has been an integral part of numerous project facilitation teams with Synergics Corporation during the last decade.

Gordon holds a Ph.D. in Management Sciences from the University of Waterloo, as well as a MSc. in Food Science and Processing, and a B.Sc. in Food Science and Nutrition, both from the University of Guelph. He serves as a Board Member of Executive 5 A Day; as the Chairman, Food Service Committee of the Produce for Better Health Foundation; as the Vice Chair of the Almond Board of California Nutrition Research Subcommittee; and as a Director of the Scientific Advisory Board for the National Honey Board. Gordon is a Canadian citizen and resides in California.
